Festive, Inexpensive Fall Decor for Apartments

The first week of fall is in full swing! I am head over heels for this season! I love everything about it from the color scheme to all the cute decorations. And fall fashion… Lord I pray for my debit card! Lol! My mother always decorated when I was growing up. We had a small home in North Memphis & even though it was considered “the hood” that didn’t matter to her. She decorated for every season and almost every holiday. So you can see where I get it from. Thanks Mom! 😉

I’ve collected quite a few things over the years. And this year was no different. I hit up Target, Walmart, Kroger and my fav Trader Joe’s. As soon as the stores were stocking the shelves I was filling up my basket. When I see things that I want I never really think how it’s going to go in my apartment. I just buy it and make it work lol! I know that sounds crazy, but that’s just how I operate. Buy it and worry later about how it’s going to fit or look. My favorite place in my apartment is the living area. It’s where I spend a lot of my time. So I really wanted to highlight the fireplace area. I have a wood burning fireplace and I absolutely love it. It’s so cozy. Perfect for fall!

As you can see Jaxson likes to photo bomb my pics lol! Oh and I’m revisiting Dexter on Netflix. I’ve been trying to get into watching spooky stuff (normally I’m a big chicken lol), so I decided to start there. It’s a really good show. Check it out if you haven’t already. As you can see I’m pumpkin obsessed. The white, gray, and the two orange pumpkins came from Target. All were $10 or less. Here’s a link to their amazing pumpkin selection: https://www.target.com. The two white pumpkins on the far right came from Kroger last year. If you haven’t checked out Kroger seasonal section please do yourself a favor and take a look. You’ll be amazed at what you can find.

My couch and accent chair are both from The Great American Home Store. The two small ottomans are from Ross Dress for Less. Literally my Mom found both of those for less than $50. The rustic wooden tray I found on Zulily for under $20. The pumpkin flower arrangement on the tray and the pumpkin blanket also came from Ross Dress for Less both for $10. I can’t remember where the pumpkin pillow came from on the accent chair. But the “pumpkin patch” pillow came from Target for $5. The “Hello Autumn” pillow came from Walmart also $5. Can you spot the photo bombing dog? Lol!

I like to have my family and my girls over so I wanted to really bring the fall vibes to my dining area. It’s amazing what you start to care about once you get a little older. Matching dishes, placemats, and center pieces are my jam! These dishes and glasses are from the Dollar Tree. Do NOT I repeat do NOT sleep on the Dollar Tree for decorations. They have some great stuff and it’s only $1 a piece!! You can’t beat that!! The placemats, napkins, and the runner are from Pier One. The small pumpkins and pine cones I got in a bundle at Target for $5.

I threw a little fall vibes in the kitchen as well. I need all the feels when I’m in there whipping up a meal. And during this whole pandemic I’ve been doing a lot of cooking. Check out my Instagram for inspiration. 😊 I plan on buying a Dutch Oven and an Immersion Blender. My plan is to whip up some amazing soups and of course Chili with Grilled Cheese! Yummy! 😋

I bought some fake fall foliage from The Dollar Tree. I was spending a ton of money buying fresh flowers weekly at the grocery stores. I also picked up some fall candles from Trader Joe’s.

It doesn’t take a lot of money to decorate your home. And if you store your finds properly you can keep them for years to come. I still have Christmas ornaments from when I was a kid.
